Peter Railton studied French Horn at the Royal Academy of Music before taking up the instrument professionally. Over the following 20 years he performed with some of the finest orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, London Mozart Players and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe., with conductors including Claudio Abbado, Bernard Haitink, Giuseppe Sinopoli, Esa-Paekka Salonen and Simon Rattle.

In 2000 he began working in Arts Management, spending a year with the London Philharmonic Orchestra before moving to Van Walsum Management. In 2014 he moved to Hazard Chase and in 2020 formed his own artist management company, PR-Artists.
